The vision of the London Design Festival 2018 is to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world.
They look forward to welcoming visitors to the capital again for the 16th edition.
Sir John Sorrell and Ben Evans conceived the London Design Festival in 2003. Based on existing project activity in London, your concept was to create an annual event that would promote the creativity of the city, drawing in the country’s greatest thinkers, practitioners, and educators for retailers to deliver an unforgettable party of the project. The first Festival took place in Bloomberg on 25 March 2003, with a great show of support of the design, education, and government organizations in London. Today, this vision remains always strong.

Ben Evans, the London Design Festival Director, says “London and Design go hand in hand. It is part of our story. London Design Festival is a platform for 100s of design stories to be told. Each of them talks to an expanding audience hungry for design ideas and enjoying the quality and diversity of what’s on offer. It all confirms London’s status as the global centre of design.”
