Dozens of world-class designers and decorators setting the Interior Design Trends for 2019 have chosen the ten “in” colors for this year, and given hints on what to mix with what.
What will bring your living room into the front line of fashion. What colors will be popping up on famous bodies and in chic homes this season.
Every year Pantone selects a color that is expected to dominate the design space in the upcoming year. For 2019, the Pantone Color Institute has chosen PANTONE 16-1546, also known as Living Coral — a warm, joyful hue that offers a sense of comfort in the midst of so much digital overwhelm.
Here are a few tips on how to incorporate Living Coral into your master bedroom décor.
Living Coral is an invitation to leave apathy behind, rekindle our senses, and immerse in nature. To explore the depths of creativity with awakened wonder.
This hue is also related to the 1970s revival trend we’ve been seeing in 2018, as well as the comeback of Mid-Century Modern motifs, typography, and décor. It comes as no surprise that so many designers are jumping on the Living Coral bandwagon: it is suggestive, optimistic, and feels like a little glimpse of ocean life.
“Colors I see in for 2019 are blush, dusty pink and bronze. Warm colors and feminine tones for on the walls and dashes of soft pinks to break up expanses of taupe or neutrals will instantly update a tired room.”—Katharine Pooley
Even though coral is usually orange with a pink undertone, Living Coral has a golden undertone as well, which makes it perfect for home décor, especially to pair with golden, as the colors complement each other beautifully!
