Kelly Wearstler a worldwide phenomenon in interior design, is one of the TOP USA interior designers and California best interior designers as well. After founding her own design firm Kelly Wearstler Interior Design in the mid-1990s, her ensuing work within the hotel industry built her reputation in California, with The New Yorker dubbing her “the presiding grande dame of West Coast interior design.”This week we’ll be showing some bedroom inspirations by Kelly Wearstler, a designer who turned a boutique interior design firm into a global lifestyle brand.
Located in Mercer Island, Washington, this interior splits itself between a Parisian Jewel Box, a calm retreat, and natural wonder, highlighted by warm brown tones and furs punctuated by some golden items that elevate this design to a masterpiece.
Brass is prevalent in the master bedroom of this Bel Air, California, home designed by Kelly Wearstler, from the space-age Italian light fixture to the custom-made bed; the ebonized and inlaid mirrors are vintage Italian, and the fur throw is by Adrienne Landau.
In the bedroom of a Beverly Hills, California, home, the bed is custom made. The shagreen chest is from Barneys, NYC.
Her studio now covers a wide array of styles and covers both big commercial projects at some of the best hotels and restaurants to residential projects for the wealthy and powerful.
Malibu Beach Residence
This is Kelly Wearstler’s own family retreat on the breezy shores of Malibu Beach. The overall design makes use of shades of driftwood taupe, misty gray, watery green, and soft pinks
Every bedroom has balcony or terrace access, and the master has its own fireplace and ensuite bathroom. The “white bedroom” has white rugs, a white bed frame, white linens, and beige walls and floors. But what really stands out is the headboard shaped like a Medusa, the right choice for a beach house.
The colors that prevail are definitely light such as white, coral, beige, golden and light pastel brown. There are also a lot of pieces made out of wood and the use of marble in the walls and in the tables for example. It gives a traditional Malibu feel to the house.
