Maison et Objet – The Stands

Mirrors are widely believed to have enchanting powers thanks to their ability to reflect light and show appearance so precisely and incredibly. Through a passionate explosion of romance, drama the Venice Mirror stirs emotion in anyone that catches its eye. Hand cut and carved by an experienced artisan who’s passion for glasswork goes back as far as his childhood, this luxury mirror represents Boca do Lobo’s ambition to bring value to true craftsmanship through contemporary design.
When art becomes an exceptional piece of furniture, the interiors acquire a world-class atmosphere of modern style. Perceived as a collectible object, Mondrian sideboard is born from geometric lines and unpredictably paired with stylish details.
The Symphony Sideboard draws inspiration from church organ tubes, as well as the curves of the violin. Like all of Boca do Lobo’s designs, the Symphony is handmade by experienced craftsmen, each with different specialties, from metalwork to woodcarving. It features a cluster of polished brass tubes envelope an exotic wood structure, creating a harmonious artful juxtaposition to rhythm of the pipes. Through Boca do Lobo’s vision, this modern sideboard seeks to re-interpret classic elements through contemporary design and cutting-edge technology and has become an emblematic piece within the Limited Edition Collection.
The Conferences and Debates
During the event, you’ll be able to be a part of amazing conferences and debates. From themes such as hospitality or retail, from exceptional designers to advanced solutions for interior design and trend analyses.
With every new edition, the design event puts six promising young design talents under the spotlight. Besides that, the event also elects the Designer of the Year. Laura Gonzalez was named Designer of the Year for September 2019. The 37-year-old designer, who trained at the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture, has worked on a variety of Parisian shops, private apartments, beautiful hotels, and iconic restaurants. Gonzalez describes her personal style as “classical with a quirky twist.” She enjoys mixing fabrics, materials, and design inspirations to create a special, eclectic blend.
